July Camp out - Deep Creek

What an awesome camp!!!  We were able to camp at the Turner's campground in Deep Creek.  The 11 year old scouts joined us.  It will be great to have them join us in the coming year.  Brother Eric Turner mapped out a trail that allowed us to hike 1,000 vertical feet up the Hogsback.  This helped us fulfill one of the camping merit badge requirements.

Woodbadge Beads

Robert Baden-Powell taught us to give back to scouting. After a leader "works their tickets" they earn the coveted woodbadge beads. "Back to Gilwell, Happy Land!!!"

Howard Thurston and Dan Dickson received their Woodbadge beads in January 2010.

Bishop Richard London and Brother Gary Burraston were presented with their Woodbadge beads on Sunday, November 8, 2009.

Cody Payne, Eric Turner, Terry Turner, Blaine Freestone, and Derek Decker attended Woodbadge training and received their beads. (If you know of anyone else that received their beads, please let me know so we can add their names.
